The HQ Guide to Holiday Fashion is a sneak preview
of holiday wear for women, men and children. After all, the holiday
season is the perfect
time of year to dress up and socialize with family
and friends, and we’re here to help.
While our fashion guide showcases
a variety of colors including winter white, rosebud and turquoise, black still reigns
supreme this season with many of our models choosing this stylish look
for the holidays.
For our holiday fashion guide we invited local retailers and models to participate. As you can see, more women than
men volunteered to be included in the photo shoot which reflects the
fact that dressing up is definitely more of a “woman thing.”
The
women’s clothing was provided by the Huntington Mall, Village
Collection, George H. Wright’s, Schwabe-May and the Worth Collection – sold
exclusively in the Huntington area by Nancy Williams. George H. Wright’s
was the clothier for our men while children’s fashions were supplied
by City Kids, Pumpkin Patch and Lazarus. Foard & Harwood provided shoes.
T.K. Dodrill Jewelers and C.F. Reuschlein Jewelers donated a stunning array of diamonds, pearls and other expensive treats which made all the ladies
smile – if only for a day. Makeup was provided by Downtown Merle
Norman. Set decorations were donated by Rosalie’s Flowers and Lazarus.
Finally,
we would like to thank Dr. Hossein Sakhai and his wife, Haydeh, who were
extremely gracious in letting us use their lovely home for the
photo shoot. Not only did they help us decorate their home for the holidays
in the middle of October, but they endured a nine hour day that saw a
constant stream of photographers, staff and models march through their
house. The Italian Revival style mansion, which is situated on three
acres of land overlooking the Ohio River on Huntington’s historic
Staunton Road, provided an exquisite backdrop for our Guide to Holiday
Fashion...
